The AirTag, a tiny device that can be attached to personal items and tracked via the iOS app, send location updates and notifications. Bluetooth trackers have become an essential tool for travellers.

These compact gadgets from companies like Apple, Tile, and Samsung help monitor the whereabouts of the items they're attached to. Whether it's fastened to a suitcase zip, wallet, car keys, or even a pet's collar, these relatively inconspicuous devices assist in locating lost items.

Although not the original tracker, many people associate this technology with the Apple AirTag - a coin-sized accessory that 'tracks all your stuff', according to the iOS brand, and is exclusively available to iPhone or Apple Find My users. I've personally utilised the AirTag on numerous holidays, placing them in my checked luggage or passport holder in case they go missing, and I've recently discovered a way to purchase the gadget at a reduced price.

Typically, the AirTag retails at Apple for £35, but a recent offer at Argos has reduced the price to £29. However, there are additional savings to be made. On top of the £6 sale discount, customers who purchase the product through TopCashback will save an extra £15.36, bringing the cost of the AirTag down to £13.64.

As a keen traveller outside of work and a tech editor during office hours, I've had the opportunity to test various trackers myself, ranging from the AirTag to the Samsung SmartTag, Tile Tracker, and even the sleek card-like Chipolo SPOT.

For those seeking a more inconspicuous way to track their possessions, I would suggest the £21 Chipolo SPOT, which can be tucked into a wallet like a bank card. Alternatively, the Eufy SmartTrack, currently priced at £18 on Amazon, is another lightweight option that's lighter than the AirTag.

Next up is the Tile Tag, available for purchase on Amazon. Personally, I find the Tile Tag design more appealing than the smaller round AirTag as it's easier to locate in a large suitcase. However, the major drawback with Tile is the requirement of paid subscription fees to access enhanced tracking features.

One significant disadvantage of Apple's offering, from my personal experience, is its limited compatibility with other phones. Its reliability is questionable as it requires iPhones in the vicinity to ping through once misplaced.

To avail this deal, there are a few steps to follow. If you're a new customer, start by creating a TopCashback account and then search for Argos in the search engine.

Once you've located the AirTag deal, proceed with your shopping as usual. At this point, TopCashback will register the sale and refund a portion of the money to shoppers who have shopped via its link. This is how the AirTag's price drops from the already discounted £29 sale price down to £13.64. It's important to note, however, that this offer is exclusive to new TopCashback and Argos members.

If you're an existing Argos customer but new to TopCashback, you'll pay slightly more - £13.76 for the AirTag, to be precise.

It's also important to note that the cashback takes a few days to appear in users' accounts, but once received, it can be withdrawn. The specific steps on how to secure the AirTag for less are outlined below.
