Smithville woman dies after crossing center line on a hill, striking vehicle on Missouri Route 92
A 34-year-old woman was killed and another woman was injured in a crash on Missouri Route 92 on Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that the Smithville woman, 34, was traveling west in a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu on Route 92 around 10:13 a.m. Monday when she crossed the center line on a hill. She then struck an eastbound 2020 Nissan Sentra, which was driven by a 19-year-old woman from Kearney.
The 34-year-old woman was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the highway patrol reported.
