Christian Madamba couldn’t have picked a better time to belt his first varsity home run.
The starting third baseman for Mainland, the senior opened the bottom of the fourth inning Thursday night with a blast to left field. The round-tripper gave the Mustangs a three-run cushion and they went on for a 4-0 victory over Haddonfield to claim the Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic championship.
