CINCINNATI (WKRC)— Hundreds of women gathered at Music Hall Friday for the annual "Power to Pursue" women's empowerment conference, a movement designed to support women in various aspects of life and wellness. More than 850 attendees participated in the spring summit, which addressed topics ranging from normalizing grief and loss to uplifting one another.

Broadcasting legend Katie Couric shared personal anecdotes as the keynote speaker. "Our big claim to fame is my grandfather who I never met built Warren Buffett's childhood home, he was a builder and architect."

Power to Pursue founder Rachel Desrochers, explained the mission of the event. "It's a women's empowerment movement whose mission is to create a safe place for women to be seen, heard and loved in," she said.

The conference also tackled the issue of imposter syndrome, with the hope that women would feel empowered to be their true selves. Desrochers emphasized, "We're good enough and that we belong and that there's a room for us no matter what we do. From janitor to CEO it all matters."

Desrochers further highlighted the importance of community and connection, stating, "Community, friendships, advocacy, access, love and understanding," are essential components of good health, alongside a healthy body. The event aimed to foster a sense of unity and shared purpose among participants.
