ცხოველების საკვები

In 2024, Georgia exported 15,702 tons of animal feed products—including both farm and pet food—earning $7.62 million. However, this marked a significant decline compared to 2023, with export value down by 34.4% and volume by 23.1%. After steady growth until 2022, exports have been on a declining trend for the past two years.

Key Export Markets

The majority of Georgian animal feed exports went to Armenia and Azerbaijan, with smaller volumes sent to other countries:

Armenia – $6 million (13,553 tons)

Azerbaijan – $1.2 million (1,786 tons)

Uzbekistan – $135,000 (167 tons)

Kyrgyzstan – $103,000 (45 tons)

Kazakhstan – $92,500 (106 tons)

Exports were also made to Moldova, Spain, and Vietnam in smaller quantities.

In January–April 2025, Georgia exported 4,407 tons of animal feed worth $2.29 million, slightly lower than the same period in 2024.

Animal Feed Imports to Georgia

Despite exports, Georgia remains a net importer of animal feed. In 2024, the country imported 34,519 tons of animal feed, valued at $47 million—a slight 0.4% increase in value and a 2.6% decrease in volume compared to 2023. This suggests that feed prices have slightly increased.

Main Import Sources (2024)

Russia – $5.7 million (5,945 tons)

Poland – $4.8 million (3,164 tons)
